I'm incredibly excited to open the doors to The Astro Profectory, a new space dedicated to exploring the fascinating, ever-changing dance of the planets and the subtle yet profound energetic shifts they bring to our lives. If you've ever felt a shift in the air, a change in your personal momentum, or a collective wave of a certain energy, chances are the heavens were orchestrating a significant moment. And this is where I'll explain some interesting points.


What is The Astro Profectory?

The name, "Profectory", isn't just a whimsical invention; it's a nod to both the projection of future energies and a subtle wink to the astrological technique of 'profection' itself – a method for illuminating the themes of your year ahead. Here, we aim to do just that for the collective and personal experience: to project and clarify the unfolding astrological landscape, helping us all navigate and align with the cosmic currents.

This isn't just about reading your daily horoscope (though we all love a good one!). The Astro Profectory is a place for deeper dives, where we'll highlight interesting and significant shifts in the zodiac. We'll look at:

  • Major Transits: When planets move into new signs or form powerful aspects with each other.
  • Planetary Ingresses: When a planet enters a new zodiac sign, infusing it with a fresh flavour.
  • Retrogrades: Those infamous periods when planets appear to move backward, prompting reflection and revision.

  • Key Aspects: The geometric relationships between planets that create specific energetic dynamics.

My goal is to translate these complex celestial movements into relatable insights, helping you understand not just what is happening, but how it might feel, what it might mean for personal growth, and how to best harness these energies in your own journey.


A Note on Our Astrological Framework

It's important to clarify my primary lens right from the start. Here at The Astro Profectory,my discussions and interpretations will almost exclusively be rooted in tropical astrology.

For those new to the distinction, tropical astrology is the most prevalent system in western astrology. It aligns the zodiac signs with the seasons, meaning that Aries, for example, always begins with the nernal equinox in the northern hemisphere, marking the start of spring. Its focus is on the archetypal energies and psychological expressions tied to Earth's annual journey around the sun.

Occasionally, there may be articles that delve into sidereal astrology, which aligns the zodiac with the actual constellations in the sky and is more commonly used in Vedic astrology. However, if an article is about sidereal astrology, it will be explicitly stated in the title or introduction. Otherwise, you can assume all discussions are from a tropical astrological perspective.
